Re: Mohammed Kudus Signed
Kudus won’t be going anywhere this season, perhaps Chelsea at some point or possibly Man U but that won’t happen for a year or two, assuming he continues to impress.

Same with Paqueta, he’ll be with us for the rest of this campaign too.

Looking forward to the January window, I expect us to move some dead wood along and bring in a player or two.

Re: Mohammed Kudus Signed
I'll be amazed if one of the mega rich clubs don't sign him next Summer or Summer 2025.

We should be able to get £100 million or so for him at this rate, which would be an excellent return on investment.

Are we finally moving to a profitable, Brighton style model?

Re: Mohammed Kudus Signed
Obviously hope that we keep both Paqueta and Kudus for as long as possible but there has to be a strong possibility that we will struggle to retain them for next season.

If so we just have to hope that Tim spends the likely £160m plus proceeds well and we can repeat the process.

fraser - Yep, that's why I mentioned Liverpool may be interested if Salah goes. I only mentioned Bowen as an example that playing great for us doesn't necessarily mean the vultures circle. Yep, as I said buy low sell high, it's not a bad thing and about time we started to do that.

I'm not bigging this fella up as the new Messi just yet, we ain't getting big offers on the back of two goals against Wolves. Hopefully he will put Liverpool to the sword on Wednesday, let's see.

Re: Mohammed Kudus Signed
Manuel - I'd day he was more similar to Salah than Bowen is.. He reminds me of him the way he plays..

Buying players that will attract attention for big fees has to be a good thing right?

Just watched Gonzo do a video where he said he's read that Saudi want to make him their poster boy.

I can't see him going there though as surely he could have done before joining us

Re: Mohammed Kudus Signed
The LEGENDARY Marco van Basten said this when Man U wasted all that money on Antony. He got it spot on.

“I like [Kudus] much better than Antony,”

“He's a better footballer and he's more fun to watch. Antony has skills but he can also look confused.

“Kudus has a much firmer technique and knows where he is going. Antony may be faster, but Kudus is smarter and more technical. He is much more of a footballer and an all-rounder for the team.”

Would imagine there's a release clause. And would also reckon it's north of £100 mill .?

Manuel 12:37 Mon Dec 18
Re: Mohammed Kudus Signed
A big club has never come in for Bowen. Pretty sure Kudus be with us for a while unless Liverpool think he's a Salah replacement if he goes to the desert, but Liverpool rarely spend silly money on one player. Can't see City being interested.

Calm yourself down Ray, you're being a bit cliched here, son.

Just realised we'll be losing him for Afcon in January.

zico 12:31 Mon Dec 18
Re: Mohammed Kudus Signed
He seems to have everything. Pace, acceleration, strength, intelligence and works his socks off. Interesting to hear that the technical team told him that the keeper remains stayed fairly central to cover the other side of the goal so Kudus whacked it in near post, hence the intelligence. As I said before we need to offer him a new contract with a big release fee.

Re: Mohammed Kudus Signed
Looking like the real deal, but still early days, the likes of Liverpool and City will want to see more presumably if they are to bid silly money for him. What you have to remember is there are a lot of great players around today, the big boys will have plenty of others to choose from and likely for a a bit less than what Kudus will now cost. And as said before, if we sign these players for 30 odd and sell for 70-80 it's not all bad is it.

What a cracking signing, I wonder how long it will be before the vultures come circling?

fraser 12:42 Mon Aug 28
Re: Mohammed Kudus Signed
I've read he can play on the right as a nine, AM and even a deep lying midfielder but not on the left, he's rarely played there.

Re: Mohammed Kudus Signed
I’ve been dreaming of this moment and I’m so happy to be here. But it doesn’t stop here, I want to keep going.

I’m very excited by this signing, but don’t expect him to stick around for too long. Two seasons at best I reckon. We should make a nice wedge on him though.

It looks like he can play all across the front line and even just behind the attack. Moyes prefers to play players on the opposite flank to their preferred foot, so maybe he will be on the right with Bowen moving to the middle. But where does that leave Antonio? Good problems to have for a manager.

Re: Mohammed Kudus Signed
Exciting signing.

Where will he play? Can he take Benrahma position on the left? Or will we need a formation change to fit him in?

Re: Mohammed Kudus Signed
Agreed, Ghanaians are the salt of the Earth unlike crazy Nigeriand who are generally complete nutters.

Anyway, to this signing very exciting. What a transfer window this is shaping to be. We have managed to get north of £100 million for a big headed egomaniac who didn't want to be here and have got in three quality midfield and attacking players for the money. The Greek defender replaces Dawson.

We still need a striker. En-Nesyri would be the icing on the cake.

Keep dreaming 8:50 Mon Aug 28

Re: Mohammed Kudus Signed
Seems like a significant signing, well done to the club for this one. Suspect he will be on the bench on Friday, the way Benny played at Brighton it's going to be interesting.
